About CSADA

The California State Athletic Directors Association (CSADA) has proudly upheld its position as one of the most prominent volunteer associations for over five decades.

Our mission has evolved to shape an educational organization dedicated to elevating the professionalism, knowledge, and consistency of Athletic Directors in schools across California.

From its inception, CSADA has forged a robust partnership with the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), laying the foundation for a professional support network essential for realizing our collective vision.

Recognizing excellence has always been at the core of CSADA’s ethos. We’ve diligently given back to hardworking athletic directors and celebrated exceptional ADs, with over 500 section award winners throughout our storied history.

Additionally, our Newline Magazine, accessible in the News section of this website, serves as a vital platform to disseminate critical information, share impactful stories, and engage in discussions with athletic personnel, both within California and across the nation.

Today, we print 6,200 copies of each of our three issues (November, February, and June), with three copies dispatched to every school in California— one for the Superintendent, one for the Principal, and one for the Athletic Director.

Furthermore, our commitment to excellence extends to our annual CSADA conference, renowned for attracting some of the nation’s finest speakers. This has solidified our conference as the premier gathering for ADs and Athletic Administrators from all corners of California.

Inspiring young minds, fostering excellence, and shaping the future of athletics—welcome to CSADA, where passion and dedication ignite success.

As professionals in the field of youth athletics, we recognize the importance of ongoing professional development. Our jobs require us to stay current on the latest trends and best practices in our field and continually develop our skills and knowledge. Whether you want to develop a new skill, expand your network, or stay up-to-date on the latest trends in high school athletics, we are here to support you.
